Book of June – “The Science of Self-Healing” by Dr. Vasant Lad.
I started teaching yoga in 2005 after an encounter with Amma that was placed on the front pages of a Seattle, Washington newspaper. Then I was working in a variete Theater and always warming up before the show with the asanas that helped prepare me mentally and physically for the show.
When the paper published the photo of me placing a wreath of flowers over Ammas shoulders many colleagues then asked if I would teach them yoga. I considered myself a novice but was prepared to be of service.

Fifteen years later, with a 7 year certificate study to my credit I am still learning and teaching. One thing became clear. The knowledge of the postures was not enough. The complex interaction of body and mind requires a full program of knowledge in the realms of diet and wholistic health programs.
