Laraaji – Om Nama Shivaya – Vocal Inspirational Music

This mans voice always made me feel his intense devotion. It transferred all of his love into my heart as well…extensive play which can be used for dynamic movements. I have had his music in my ears since early 80’s. It is shared that while studying Eastern mysticism he came across a zither instrument in a pawn shop and had the idea of strengthening its sound through adding electric power.

With this new invention he begain to perform and play music in the streets of New York and was then discovered by Brian Eno.

Eno included this sound in his album serie Ambient 3: day of Radiance. This music was then so appropriate for aiding in exploring the inner realms and Laraaji began to share his music through the now obsolete cassette tapes. He studied with, well known Guru at the time, Swami Satchidananda and also Shri Brahmananda Sarasvati, the latter having founded Ananda Ashram in Monroe, New York.

I suppose this is for me the perfect expression of Dharma unfolding in events that spiral into eachother to create a purpose. Laraaji is the creator of the laughing yoga workshops which still are being held in various places around the world…
